Nova Scotia Express Entry Stream Paused, Expected to Open Again

People aspiring to immigrate to Canada have a wonderful opportunity in the form of Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream. Candidates who had applied under the Express Entry immigration system have the opportunity to secure a provincial nomination certificate, which will considerably improve their chance of immigrating to Canada.

Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry program opened up to accept new applications on May 8th, 2017. in the recent years, Nova Scotia has become one of the most preferred destination for immigrants coming to Canada.

However, the program opened up only for a short period and intake in the Category B of the stream was put on hold after some time. It was reported by a staff member of the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration that there has been some technical difficulties experienced in the online application system.

The office of immigration is working to fix the problem and as and when it is done, it is expected that applications will be submitted again. The Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream is one of the most famous Provincial Nominee Program (PNPs) of Canada and forms part of the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP).

The government of Nova Scotia welcomes new immigrants to become the permanent resident of Canada through its NSNP and they get the opportunity to settle permanently in the country.

Since this immigration stream is aligned with the Express Entry immigration system, an applicant when accepted is awarded additional 600 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). With these additional points the probability of being issued the Invitation to Apply (ITA) increases considerably.

In the current intake period, it has been announced by NSNP that nearly 250 new applications will be accepted for the Category B stream. This category is designed for applicants who have experience in any of the 16 occupations. The applicant is not required to have a job offer to apply for this category.

It has been said that the Category A will remain open for an unlimited period of time. Applicants those who are having a job offer will be accepted under this category.

Applications in both the categories are accepted through a unique online system of NSNP.
